The father of Omar Mateen said his son was ‘very angry’ when he saw two men kissing, and thinks this may be the cause of the shootings.

Mateen’s father was interviewed over the phone by NBC News.

In the interview, he says he and Mateen’s mother are in ‘shock, just like the rest of the country’ by their son’s attack.

Mateen opened fire Sunday morning on gay nightclub Pulse Club, with around 320 people inside.

He was later killed during a gun battle with policemen.
