Love, Simon fans can now see the first trailer from new TV sequel, Love, Victor and it’s frothy and heated.

The show will launch on streaming platform Hulu on 19 June.

It’s a spin-off from gay teen romantic comedy Love, Simon which became the LGBT+ movie hit of the year in 2018. But Love, Victor focuses on a new student at Creekwood High School.

The 10 episode series follows Victor’s journey of self-discovery as he faces challenges at home and struggles with his sexual orientation. And he will reach out to Simon when it seems too difficult for him to navigate high school.

The trailer shows Michael Cimino, who stars as Victor, going into a cafe to apply for a job as a barista.

But he finds he’s instantly crushing on the café’s assistant manager.

‘Real tight’

In the trailer, the assistant manager Benjy demonstrates how to use the espresso machine to reassure Victor that he can do the barista job.

The clip then focuses in on Benjy’s arm muscles as he packs the coffee grounds ‘real tight’.

Then after a quick hair-flick the twinky Benjy turns to steaming the milk. But Victor’s already bubbling over – literally.

Cimino will star alongside Ana Ortiz and James Martinez in the series.

Disney+ was originally going to stream Love, Victor but executives decided it was too racy for the channel. That’s why it’s appearing on Hulu, which Disney also owns.

Meanwhile a second series is also moving forward.

Moreover, there’s even more Simon-verse magic coming your way.

The Love, Simon story started as a 2015 novelty by Becky Albertalli called Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda.

Albertalli has already created one sequel, Leah on the Offbeat, about Simon’s secretly bisexual friend Leah.

And last week she announced another sequel is on its way – Love, Creekwood.

The novella will follow the gang’s first year at college. Albertalli says it fits in the timeline after Love, Simon and before Love, Victor.

And she promises fans it contains ‘shenanigans, exclamation points, yearning, Drunk Simon, Nostalgic Blue, Finals Week Abby, Valentine’s Day Leah, big decisions, and MUCH talk of kissing’.
