Taylor Swift’s new app, The Swift Life, is overrun by homophobes and Trump voters.
Ever since it launched on 14 December, Swifties were eager to try out the app that offered ‘exclusive footage, Taylor-related updates, and Taymojis’.
And while the point of it is to talk about Swift, it turns out not all users are following the rules.
Taylor Swift’s app got political

Liberal and conservative Swift fans are arguing over politics, and some users are alleging some posts are being deleted.
It got worse when a post from a Trump supporter was heavily liked and shared.
And then, a discussion continued in the post’s comments where one user said: ‘I just don’t accept gays, lesbians and bisexuals.’
Swift Life app forbids ‘abusive’ conduct
Community guidelines for The Swift Life app forbid ‘abusive, disrespectful, harassing, threatening, intimidating, violent, predatory, or stalking conduct’.
Fans are also prohibited from behavior that ‘could interfere with, disrupt, spam, negatively affect, or inhibit other users from fully enjoying our services.’
The app also implores users on its login page that users to ‘help make this a safe and inclusive place for everyone to enjoy’.
Earlier this year, Swift was criticized for refusing to speak out against alt-right and far-right Trump supporters.
And as she tries to remain politically neutral, many have also said she claims to be feminist without promoting feminist ideas.
Last week Swift also declared on Instagram that she ‘couldn’t have asked for a better year’. This generated immediate backlash and was seen as ‘tone deaf’ by many fans.
