Taylor Swift has donated $113,000 (£86,353, €100,212) to an LGBTI rights organization in Tennessee.
The Shake It Off singer made the contribution along with a handwritten letter.
In the note, shared on the Tennessee Equality Project Facebook page, she says says she’s ‘inspired’ by the group’s work.
‘I’m so grateful’
Taylor’s note reads: ‘I’m writing you to say that I’m so inspired by the work you do, specifically in organizing the recent petition of Tennessee faith leaders standing up against the “slate of hate” in our state legislature.’
‘Please convey my heartfelt thanks to them and accept this donation to support the work you and these leaders are doing.’
The Delicate singer furthermore added, ‘I’m so grateful that they’re giving all people a place to worship.’
Her headed paper, by the way, adorably reads: ‘loves cats.’
The TEP’s tribute to the superstar states: ‘Tennessee Equality Project is honored and grateful to reveal Taylor Swift has made a donation of $113,000 to support our efforts at this critical moment.’
Taylor is of course known for hits such as Love Story, Blank Space and Bad Blood.
She will also stretch her acting muscles in this year’s film adaptation of the classic Andrew Lloyd Webber musical Cats.
