Actors Chloë Grace Moretz and Isabelle Huppert — one, a young star who talks about sexual fluidity, the other, a French icon — are teaming up for a new movie.
It’s a thriller, and it looks absolutely wild.
Greta tells the story of Frances (Moretz), a sweet, naïve young woman trying to make it on her own in New York City. When she finds an abandoned purse on the subway, she swiftly returns it to its owner — the titular Greta (Huppert).
Greta is an ‘eccentric French piano teacher with a love for classical music and an aching loneliness’.
Having both lost people in their lives, Frances and Greta begin to bond. But that only lasts until Frances realizes not everything is at it seems and that Greta’s maternal natures hides something far more sinister.
Moretz most recently starred in last year’s conversion therapy movie, The Miseducation of Cameron Post. She also starred in Suspiria, the supernatural feminist movie from Call Me By Your Name director Luca Guadagnino.
In December, she was spotted kissing model Kate Harrison.
Greta comes out on 1 March.
