Todrick Hall in his new music video

If you were looking for a definitive song for Pride this year, look no further than Nails, Hair, Hips, Heels by Todrick Hall.

Set in an empty warehouse illuminated by a pink triangle, Todrick is joined by a mass of dancers as they strut their stuff in colorful high heels and gloves.

‘Nails, hair, hips, heels, ass, fat, lips, real/Purse, full, big, bills, bitch I’m a big deal,’ Todrick begins the song that will definitely be a new mainstay of gay clubs worldwide.

It’s a rhythmic bop that is begging to be danced to and blasted at all the Pride celebrations coming up.

‘Pussy puss, puss/Give them cunt, cunt, cunt, bitch.’

Both Todrick and the dancers are all in perfect unison as they clap, work their hips, strut, and so much more.

The end of the song is a series of repeated demands that people are sure to have fun with when the song becomes a mainstay of parties and clubs alike.

‘Drop for me,’ he sings, before repeating a variety of more moves including: tongue pop, pose, twirl, say girl, shablam, and more.

‘Made for our fierce community in mind’

Already the song is earning high praises from several different people, including LGBTI icon himself Billy Porter.

‘The Category Is: Nails, Hair, Hips, Heels,’ he wrote on Instagram, referencing the FX series he stars in, Pose.

Porter enthuses about Todrick’s entire new EP, Haus Party, Pt. 1.

He tells people to ‘strut your behind… put on something that slays and snap these songs… because they were made specifically in mind for our fierce #lgbtq community just in time for #pride🌈.

‘Now, excuse me while I have a personal dance uoff.’

Cynthia Erivo also posted about the song, enthusing it as her ‘entire Pride mood’.

‘@todrick, you are rude and unreasonable for hurting the folk like this!!’ she wrote on Instagram. ‘Love you to death!!’

Janelle Monáe also commented on Erivo’s post, agreeing that the song is a huge Pride mood.

One Twitter user also called the reclaiming of the pink triangle in the music video ‘pretty powerful’.

Nails, Hairs, Hips, Heels already has over 3 million views on YouTube. Haus Party, Pt. 1 is available now.
