Trans soldier Hannah Graf has been celebrated in the New Year’s honors list among a whole host of exceptional people in the United Kingdom.
The honors and bravery list gives out titles to people who have displayed exceptional behavior, with honors this year including the team of British divers who saved the 12 young footballers trapped in a Thai cave.
However, after a year of heavy criticism against the trans community, trans soldier Hannah Graf is one of the shining lights of the honors list.,
She wrote on Twitter: ‘Absolutely delighted to announced that I have been made an #MBE in the #NYHonours. This never could have been possible without the support of my family, friends, and colleagues.

Hannah is known as a trans rights advocate and has written in support of trans people on Gay Star News.
An MBE, the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, is an honor bestowed on people who give outstanding contributions to arts, sciences, charities, welfare organizations, and public services.
The other honors this year include Monty Python star Michael Palin being knighted and model Twiggy being made a dame.
England manager Gareth Southgate, who saw a lot of success in the soccer World Cup in 2018, has also seen his achievements nodded.
43 people, including medical staff and police offices, have been recognized for their role in responding to the 2017 terror attacks in London and Manchester.
