Transphobic writer and comedian Graham Linehan made headlines last month for trying to get funding for trans charity Mermaids canceled.
‘I was a bit knocked back today when I saw the story about Mermaids being given whatever insane amount it is from the National Lottery,’ he wrote on Mumsnet at the time. ‘The idea of 45 Mermaids clinics opening around the country is terrifying.’
Linehan instructed his anti-trans supporters to email the Big Lottery Fund’s CEO, Dawn Austwick.
After a huge response from anti-trans people, the National Lottery then announced it will review the allocated funding for Mermaids.
So gamer HBomberGuy decided to do something to help out the trans charity.
He played Donkey Kong 64 for 57 hours, while accepting donations on behalf of Mermaids. HBomberGuy was able to raise nearly $339,000.

Some time during the 57-hour broadcast, someone created a website using Graham Linehan’s name: grahamlinehan.co.uk/
They then redirected the website to Mermaids.
Linehan’s actual website links to his Twitter account and his inactive WordPress blog and Tumblr account.
Gay Star News reached out to Graham Linehan for comment. He has not publicly addressed the creation of the website.
Linehan began being vocal against trans people in August last year when he called anti-trans protestors storming Pride in London ‘heroes’.
Police also issued him with a notice of verbal harassment for allegedly harassing a trans woman online.
Last month, he also compared transgender rights to Nazism.
He said at the time: ‘If you were around the time of something terrible happening like Nazism, would you be one of the people who said, “This is wrong,” despite being opposed?’
Matilda star Mara Wilson also previously clapped back at Linehan on Twitter.
