As the Brexit deadline looms, British people are becoming more concerned about how it will happen. People are worried about what deal the UK government will make with the European Union. They’re also worried the UK will leave the EU having made no deal at all.
But now a number of community leaders, organizations, members of the general public are calling for a People’s Vote. They want to get a say in any deal the government may or may not make with the EU.
Gay Star News has also backed a People’s Vote on Brexit, arguing Brexit will be disastrous for LGBTI people.
Not only will it be disastrous, but it’s clear Britain’s LGBTI population does not want Brexit. YouGov research shows 60% of our community voted to Remain in the 2016 referendum. But now 70% wish to remain in the EU.
What is more, 72% of LGBTI people want a People’s Vote.
Party for a People’s Vote
So to send a clear message to Westminster that LGBTI community wants a People’s Vote, much loved LGBTI bars are throwing parties around the UK to get people involved.
On Saturday 6 October, multiple clubs across the UK will be hosting Party for a People’s Vote to let the government know the LGBTI community wants a People’s Vote on the final Brexit deal.
Each venue will have fun options for people to get involved including; face paint, fans and People’s Vote volunteers to answer any questions people have about it. They’ll also be letting people know about the People’s Vote rally on 20 October in London.
Beloved clubs like G-A-Y in London (Heaven) and Manchester, Fire and Lightbox (London), , Ku Bar (London), Out! (Liverpool), Two Brewers (London), are just some of places hosting Party for People’s Vote events.

One of Soho’s most unique venues Ku Bar’s parties often spill into the streets of Chinatown.
Bedecked in black and white humbug stripes and cheery rainbow flags, Ku Bar has a relaxed day vibe. But, after dark, the magic really happens, and party-chasing customers can keep the vibe going by heading downstairs to Ku Klub.
Upstairs the view isn’t bad either. Because Ku Bar’s gorgeous, premium-spirit dispensing bar staff (who apparently love to disrobe at the weekends) have won London’s Sexiest Bar Staff Award countless times.
