Vine teen admits anti-gay rant was ‘stupid’

The teen with 8.7million followers who posted a homophobic rant on video sharing site Vine has apologized.
He took it down, but not before it was recorded and re-uploaded by a fellow social media star, Tyler Oakley who branded it ‘extremely dangerous’.
Now Grier has said sorry on Twitter, Mashable reports.
He commented: ‘I apologize for anything negative I’ve said towards gays and for that matter anyone.
‘I was young, ignorant, stupid and in a bad place.
‘I’ve moved on and learned from my mistakes and I am so truly sorry to anyone I have offended.
‘I have nothing against anyone or anything that promotes equality. Sorry again.’
Tweets apparently coming from his account opposing same-sex marriage and LGBTI rights have also been deleted.
His apology is a clear break with his previous stance on the issue. He had been spending the last few days promoting a video in which he laughs at his own ‘haters’:
