After spending several hours gleaning advice from locals in Malana we decided to ignore most of it and trek to Rashol without a guide. This resulted in nine hours which felt like several fucking days of wandering around a pine forest in erratic circles before being directed back to a path which led up a hill where I decided that Rashol was probably a myth.
