Warwick Rowers strip off again for 2017 calendar

Warwick University Rowers are back, still naked, with a brand new calendar to raise money to fight homophobia and transphobia in sport.

The British rowers have stripped off once again for the seventh year in a row.

This time they’re making their goal clearer than ever.

‘For the last seven years, it has been my privilege to work with the rowers to raise funds for their sport and to challenge homophobia in sport,’ long-time photographer/producer Angus Malcon said.

‘I have seen the passion, dedication and commitment that they bring to both aspects of the project so it was a pleasure to be able to share with other young people from all over the world the idea that you can create a viable enterprise while also campaigning for social change.’

2016 also marked the first year the Warwick Rowers marched at London Pride.

Lucas, who is on his second calendar, said: ‘Being part of the calendar was already the highlight of my university experience. But to feel that connection with the crowd on the float today has given me one of the greatest moments of my life.

‘It shows what can happen if you decide to stand up for something.’

You can buy the calendar from the Warwick Rowers website.
