WATCH: Conservative Ted Cruz now thinks ban on sex toys is 'idiotic'
Ted Cruz has had a hilarious week

You know Ted Cruz. The conservative Senator who ran for President with staunchly anti-LGBTI views.

Well, he’s been in the news again recently — for an absolutely hilarious reason.

Earlier this week, his official Twitter account accidentally liked a porn video. The reason given is that a staffer with access to the social media account inadvertently hit the like button on the video.

The internet, of course, had a field day with it. Even the account which originally posted the video in question, Sexuall Posts, got in on it.

However, this isn’t where the fun ends. Cruz has now been doing PR damage-control, giving numerous interviews and explanations.

In one interview with CNN, he talks about the mistake and then further discusses sex and sex toys.

In the video, he discusses his time as solicitor general of Texas.

‘I worked for the attorney general,’ he says. ‘The attorney general’s job is to defend the laws passed by the Texas legislature. One of those laws was a law restricting the sale of sex toys, which is a stupid law.’

He continues: ‘Listen, I am one of the most libertarian members of the Senate. I think it’s idiotic.’

Then he says people should be able to do what they want in their own bedrooms before the interviewer chimes in.

‘I can’t believe I’m going to ask you this,’ she begins. ‘So you’re officially saying Ted Cruz is okay with people buying sex toys?’

‘I am saying consenting adults should be able to do whatever they want in their bedrooms,’ he responds.

Well, well, well, how the turn tables.

This is a far different opinion than when his former roommate claimed Cruz didn’t believe people had a right to ‘stimulate their genitals’.

Either way, it’s pretty hilarious and it’s been a good time to be on the internet.
