Blind date goes horribly wrong

A blind date goes horribly wrong after a straight guy gets uncomfortable seeing two men holding hands.

Directed by Divyansh Pandit, the short clip addresses the double standards of moral behavior in India.

The scene starts with the woman talking nervously about being on a blind date, until she’s interrupted by her date.

He says: ‘Can we just change the table?’

The guy explains he’s uncomfortable seeing two men holding hands in their close vicinity.

She looks nervously at the loved-up couple.

He explains: ‘I feel uncomfortable.

‘A guy with another guy like this – it’s completely immoral and unethical.

‘Our culture doesn’t teach us this.

She pauses for a moment and says: ‘Ok brother, where do you want to go?’

He interrupts again: ‘Wait, did you just call me brother?’

She replies: ‘Yes, because you just taught me something.

‘A girl and a guy can’t be out on a date like this before marriage.

‘It’s against our culture and feel it’s completely immoral and unethical.

Playing off the double-standard with what’s socially acceptable, the girl gets up from her seat and says: ‘Aaya bada’.

This is an expression used for people who think too highly of themselves.
