Musician Kid Rock continues to fuel the rumors he’s running for Senate. While he’s yet to make an official statement, his latest rant offers a look at Kid Rock the Politician.
The singer, an outspoken supporter of Donald Trump, delivered the speech at a concert in Detroit.
The event itself drew both protesters of Rock as well as fans. Protesters took issue with Rock’s use of the Confederate flag in his music and his criticism of NFL players kneeling for the national anthem.
Over the summer, he launched the website Kid Rock for Senate. If he decides to run, he’ll face off against Democratic Senator Debbie Stabenow seeking a fourth term.
And this latest speech definitely sounds political. He previously offered a tirade on the KKK and Black Lives Matter.
In Tuesday’s (12 September) speech, he discussed ‘deadbeat dads’ and loving both black and white people, but not as much as ‘red, white, and blue’.
About halfway through, he asked: ‘And why, these days, is everything so gay?’
He claims people should be able to marry who they want. Then, however, he said ‘things shouldn’t be this complicated’ and ‘you don’t get to choose because whatever you have between your legs should determine the bathroom that you use’.
