Those who watch more porn on a regular basis are more likely to be bisexual, a new survey revealed. LGBTI people in general are also more likely to watch porn daily.

Porn site xHamster discovered these correlations based on an internal survey they conducted. Over 11,000 user participated, answering questions about their porn watching habits, identity, and more.

In their first report, they honed in on the patterns that emerged from bisexual respondents.

Overall, a majority (67.7%) of xHamster users identify as heterosexual. Bisexuals are the second-largest group, with 22.3% marking that as their sexuality in the survey.

‘We’re not a particularly bi site, let alone a gay one,’ the xHamster report stated. They acknowledged they have primarily heterosexual content but found in the survey that watching porn ‘opens up users to the idea of a more fluid sexuality’.

Bisexual porn habits

Overall, the survey found bisexual people are more likely to watch porn several times a day.

As the graph below shows, heterosexual people are more likely to watch porn once a week or several times a week. For bisexual identifying people, it’s the opposite.

Bisexual people are more than twice as likely to watch porn several times a day than once a week.

This graph shows a similar trend. Both bisexual people and gay men and lesbians watch porn more frequently than their straight peers.

Most users (a majority of each group) watch weekly, but bisexual people and gay men and lesbians watch daily more than straight users.

xHamster also isolated this data by gender. 38% of women in their survey identified as bisexual so they surmised this could be skewing the data.

When they narrowed the results down to just bi men, they found 10.8% watched once a week — and 27.2% watched multiple times a day.

In the final graph, xHamster found that both bisxeual people and gay men and lesbians find a value in porn more than straight users.

When asked if porn is a health sexual outlet, a majority out of all respondents said yes. However, bisexual people were the most likely to give this answer, with 85% responding positively.

The survey also found these users were the least likely to be religious and most likely to pay for porn.

xHamster had a humorous and supportive response to bisexual people’s porn habits:

‘Is xHamster part of a plot to neuter red-blooded American men? Nah. But do we welcome our bisexual overlords? Yes! They’re more progressive, more tolerant, and have a more positive outlook on sexuality. Plus they love EVERYTHING WE DO.’
