Rugby player proposes to boyfriend at Pride in London

A rugby player proposed to his boyfriend in an adorable moment at Pride in London this weekend (8 July).

The London-based Kings Cross Steelers are a regular fixture in the parade every year since it was founded in 1995.

But during a mock line-out, Fernando Ferreira got up and walked over to the barricade where his boyfriend, Greg Woodford, was standing.

What happens next will melt your heart.

Ferreira gets down on one knee, as his rugby mates cheer in the background.

Woodford jokingly bites the ring, as he nods his head excitedly and says yes.

They share an adorable kiss and then Woodford is lifted over the barricade to join his boyfriend’s team mates.

They’re lifted up and carry on marching in the parade together.

Woman proposes to police officer girlfriend

This is not the only Pride proposal this weekend. A woman proposed to her traffic police officer girlfriend along the parade route.

The proposal, captured by the British Transport Police, shows cheers erupting as the woman gets down on one knee.

Holding a rainbow flag, the transport police officer is clearly shocked, but says yes immediately.

The two hug, while onlookers cheer and record the witnessing of love.
