As Westboro Baptist Church protests, gay cop kisses boyfriend at DC Pride Parade

Members of the anti-gay Westboro Baptist Church showed up at Washington DC’s pride parade toting their usual ‘God Hates Fags’ and other signs of hate.

DJ Stalter, an officer with the Arlington County Police Department, decided it would make a nice photo op if he gave his boyfriend a kiss on the lips in front of the Westboro demonstration.

Salter was in uniform and holding up a small rainbow pride flag when he smooched boyfriend Mark Raimondo who posted the photo on Instagram.

But Raimondo was not the only one to take to social media to share a pic of the kiss: Westboro themselves posted one on its @WBCSays) Twitter account.

The group compared the kiss to the Utah officer who quit the force after he was placed on leave for refusing to ride in front of the Utah Pride Parade because he did not want to be seen as pro-gay.

Westboro wrote as a caption: ‘Cop Placed On Leave After Refusing To Work Gay Pride Parade" USA wants their cops looking like this.’

Raimondo replied via Instagram: ‘How sweet of WBC to tweet my picture!’

It was his and Stalter’s first pride together.
