Westboro Baptist Church told internet they’d answer anything, internet responds hilariously

The Westboro Baptist Church are known for taking popular culture that people like, from Panic! At The Disco to Lady Gaga, and making it horrific.

And so when they sat down to Reddit, which was founded by bisexual hacktivist Aaron Swartz, they expected to do the same.

But when you ask the internet to ask you anything, you better be prepared.

Before the AMA, they announced they would picket Reddit headquarters in San Francisco tomorrow (12 August).

‘Westboro Baptist Church will use the Reddit platform, which is usually filled with vanity, science falsely so-called, and other sundry lies; to instead preach righteousness & spread the gospel.’

Let’s see how they got on:

While it appears they didn’t actually answer anything, Reddit’s system allows you to ‘upvote’ comments you like to the top and ‘downvote’ messages you don’t want to see.

All of WBC’s comments were downvoted to oblivion. Oh well.
