Will & Grace’s Karen absolutely slays this A Star Is Born song

Megan Mullally plays Karen in Will & Grace

Will & Grace star Megan Mullally (who plays Karen) just slayed in an amazing preview performance of a classic A Star Is Born song.

Sean Hayes (who plays Jack) posted the clip on Twitter today (28 January), featuring Karen singing The Man That Got Away – the 1954 version from A Star Is Born.

It’s a scene in an upcoming episode of Will & Grace, premiering on Thursday (31 January).

Karen sings: ‘Good riddance, goodbye. Every trick of his you’re on to. But, fools will be fools and where’s he gone to?’

Hayes also revealed his husband Scott Icenogle co-produced the ‘incredible rendition’.

Watch the amazing short clip:

American composer Harold Arlen wrote the music and Ira Gershwin wrote the lyrics to The Man That Got Away. Judy Garland performed it in one continuous take.

In 1955, it was up for an Academy Award for Best Original Song.

Then in 2004, the American Film Institute selected the song as the eleventh greatest song in American cinema history.

Megan Mullally hosted the SAG Awards last night (27 January) with a hilarious speech.

She took aim at the representation of women in Hollywood, as well as diversity.

The 2018 remake of A Star Is Born was up for four SAG awards, but missed out in every category. The film is also nominated for eight Oscars, airing 24 February.
