Fabuloso! Is this the world’s first languages school for LGBTIs?

The Gay European Tourism Association [GETA] has partnered with Sign Up, a Seville-based language school, to create language courses specially tailored for LGBTIs.

The big question is, will they teach Polari?

The two and four-week courses will be taught by a gay teacher in Seville [the city’s Plaza de España is pictured, right], the capital of the Spanish region of Andalusia, and will be open to all ages.

The courses will focus on Spain’s social and cultural scene as well as the Spanish language, and will include accommodation.

Furthermore, the programme will take in excursions to the likes of the Roman city of Italica, the Arabic town of Vejer de la Frontera and the village of Carmona.

Carlos Kytka, Executive Director of GETA, commented in a statement: ‘I visited Seville to speak at an event which explored ways in which it could welcome more LGBT travellers, and fell in love with the city.’

He added: ‘This initiative is a great way for people to see this beautiful city, discover the gay life and learn how to speak Spanish. I hope it will be a model for more LGBT educational tourism throughout Europe’.
