YouTube star Lilly Singh has come out as bisexual in an inspirational post on Twitter.
The Canadian personality, better known as Superwoman on the video hosting site, revealed her sexuality while encouraging people to embrace their differences as ‘superpowers’.
She said on Sunday (24 February): ‘Female, Coloured, Bisexual. Throughout my life these have proven to be obstacles from time to time. But now I’m fully embracing them as my superpowers.
‘No matter how many “boxes” you check, I encourage you to do the same’.
The 30-year-old has since gone on to thank her fans for all the words of encouragement.
The star wrote: ‘Thank you so much for the love and positivity. Words can’t describe how much it means. I appreciate you all. Group hug.’
Alongside her fans, several LGBTI personalities offered their support and encouragement.

Signh was described by Forbes in 2017 to be the 10th highest YouTuber. She’s since took a hiatus from her channel for mental health reasons.
Alongside being an internet star, Lilly Singh has also written the 2017 book How To Be A Bawse: A Guide to Conquering Life. She also has appeared in movies Bad Moms and upcoming Fahrenheit 451.
